We celebrated Halloween with a vengeance this year. The festivities started on a rainy Saturday afternoon, October 26th. Lauren's play-group had a costume party. It was a riot, kids everywhere.

...rain rain go away....

Quack Quack Quack!

That 'duck hat' lasted about 30 seconds.

Imagine the chaos of trying to get a picture of all those kids

Later that same night, we enjoyed the 'grown-ups' costume party. I use the term 'grown-ups' loosely....especially with this crowd. :) Actually, the party was hosted by a coworker, and I must compliment them on the party setup. They had the usual Halloween goodies (food, drink, lots of decorations), but they ALSO had a pool table, blackjack and craps table. Something for everyone! Ya know, it's kinda strange when you're so used to seeing someone in their work clothes everyday - and they show up in some freaky Halloween costume.

Lauren is still a little bit too young for the craps table.

It's a BEER belly baby!

Our gracious hosts!

The 'kids' line up for treats.

Steven tries to tell me - one big beer is better than two small beers.

"Awww hell - I dunno - HIT ME!"

As you can see, we had a lot of fun that Saturday. Later that same week - Thursday October 31st - the official Halloween! If I'm not partying on 6th Street in Austin - then you can find me scaring, and giving out candy to the neighborhood kids. This year, I had some help. BigRob brought his son (LittleRob) and a couple other friends over. There were three of us sulking in the shadows - waiting for the unsuspecting trick-or-treater. While I didn't get any pictures of that - I do have a few others taken that night.

The Grim Reaper strikes again!

We managed to get Lauren in her Duck costume again.
...and she doesn't seem scared by that old witch.

Papa helps Lauren with the Trick-or-Treating.
(Is that the Grim Reaper back there?)

Everyone loves Halloween!
